    Do you have any testimonies or experience with the LAL+.? I am wondering if distance is compromised with the extended depth of focus that LAL+ provides.

    • @Chuvision
      @Chuvision 2 месяца назад

      We do have experience with LAL+. As far as we've seen, distance vision with LAL+ is comparable to the LAL. Distance vision tends to be very good with majority of patients reaching 20/20 vision comfortably without glasses.

    I had my right eye LAL in October. I have had previous RK so I had scar tissue. My dr recommended the LAL. It was expensive 4,500 and I chose distance vision. It is a pain to wear the glasses afterwards. I had three tweekings and have 20/20 vision. I had my left eye done non LAL and have 20/30 so I do need glasses for driving and glasses for reading. I only did the LAL because of the hx. Of having the RK. It was expensive and I wish it was cheaper but it did give me 20/20 vision.

    Wow!I'm very happy for her.How did she get 20/20 both near and far with just basic iols?I will be shocked if i get that result..or 20/20 at a distance even(without glasses).I have been nearsighted since i was 9.I barely recall what it was like to see 20/20.even with glasses ive never been better than 20/30..in recent years it's been 20/40.I'll happily take any improvement I can get.

    • @Chuvision
      @Chuvision Год назад

      Every eye is different. Your prescription, eye shape, and the way you heal can all have a huge effect on how well you might be able to see after surgery with the basic lenses. People with higher prescriptions benefit from more advanced lenses to correct your vision after the cataract is removed.

    I'm 30 years, I can't do anything without my glasses, Do you think this would help me? also, are there any side effects in the future? maybe when we get older

    • @Chuvision
      @Chuvision 2 года назад

      Age wouldn't exclude you. You'd need an eye exam to see if you're a good candidate. With any laser vision procedure, most people will need reading glasses as they get into their 40s or 50s because the need for reading glasses is caused by aging. But the treatment on your cornea is permanent and doesn't "wear off." SMILE has fewer instances of dry eyes and has no flap complications (because there is no flap!)

    • @Chuvision
      @Chuvision 2 года назад

      Good question. VUITY is only intended to help with near/reading vision. You can use them if you have myopia and astigmatism. Some people have said it helps slightly with distance vision as well, but most likely if you use VUITY to see up close, you will still need your glasses for distance

  • @mikeregan3265
